Green Campus

Green Campus is committed to fostering respect for the environment and implementing sustainable practices on Trinity’s campus and throughout the Hartford community. We work to raise awareness and encourage interaction with the environment. By taking steps to improve our consumer practices we are demonstrating that we respect the environment and hope to protect it for future generations.

Through typical actions such as recycling, encouraging local food, organize Earth Week activites, and educating students about sustainability and energy reduction we work to create a standard of conservation on campus. We also try to think outside the box and partner with other organizations that demonstrate a passion for the natural world in order to appeal to the greater student body. Events like farmer’s markets, gardening, composting, operating an on-campus thrift shop, and volunteer efforts help to unite the campus around the common goal of promoting environmental stewardship. 

We meet each week to discuss how to improve the environmental climate on campus and organize events. We are always looking for new, eager, dedicated members that want to make a difference on the Trinity campus and in our local Hartford community.
